Are you ready to take on the rugged bike terrain and wear mud and dirt proudly? Join us for one of our skills clinics. You will have a great time, ride some amazing trails and improve your cycling skills. Our classes cover everything from nutrition, trail etiquette, training, equipment and techniques.

Mountain Bike Skills Clinic

Mountain biking is a sport of skill, strength and nerves of steel. Colorado has some of the best single track mountain biking trails in the nation. This course is designed to allow the mountain biking enthusiast to have fun, meet new friends and enjoy riding some amazing trails while learning new techniques and skills.

Prerequisites: Basic understanding of bike riding including shifting, balance and braking. Come learn the proper techniques for riding on the trail and navigating switchbacks, obstacles, steep climbs, descents, and much more.

Cyclocross Cycling Basics

Cyclocross is not for the faint of heart. The course involves a combination of pavement, trails, grass, hills, and obstacles that require the rider to dismount, carry the bike over the obstruction, and remount. The sport requires physical strength, superior bike handling skills, and the balance of a cat. If you are looking to take your cycling to the next level, try this class. The tips and techniques you learn will help you improve your Cyclocross
training and get more enjoyment out of your rides.

Learn proper technique for climbs, descents, switchbacks and cornering as well as ways to dismount, remount, cross obstacles, and lift your bike. You must have basic bike skills and bring a bike suitable for Cyclocross (mountain bike without bar ends and water bottle cages removed), a helmet, tool kit, snacks, and water.

Indoor Interval Spin Class – Drop in

Want to stay in shape and train throughout the fall and winter months? Join James Flanagan for his indoor training session held every Tuesday and Thursday. We use brand new state of the art indoor training bikes, motivating music and on and off the bike training.

Take your regular spin class to a new level. James will guide you through uphill, sprints, and then get you off the bike for some intense interval training using resistance bands, medicine balls, hand weights, and body work.

-What to bring on class day: Mountain Bike Skills and Cyclocross Basics

  • Open mind, Positive attitude and a giant smile
  • Receipt of payment for class
  • Tool Kit (Spare tube, bike pump, multi tool, tire levers)
  • Mountain bike/Cyclocross bike (that has been recently inspected by a bike mechanic and deemed suitable for trail riding)
  • Cycling Helmet
  • Cycling-appropriate clothing(Sunglasses, gloves, cycling shorts with chamois, cycling shoes with cleats to match your pedals or sturdy athletic shoes for flat pedals – no cages, cycling jersey or light weight t-shirt – (avoid cotton), Light weight wind breaker jacket or long sleeved shirt if the weather cools down.)
  • Personal items (Cell phone, sun screen, change of clothes, towel, insect repellent, chain lube, chamois cream, tissues)
  • Food (Make sure to eat a light nutritious meal before coming to class. Bring a few sports bars, trail mix or other nutritious snacks you can eat on the trail.)
  • Hydration(A 1 liter hydration back pack full of water is recommended, otherwise bring several water bottles full of water as water may not be available at the class location.)
  • Liability Waiver
  • This course schedule, location and topics can change due to weather, trail condition or at the instructors’ discretion for the safety of the class at any time.  This course will commence rain or shine so be prepared.
